This dataset provides insight on the relative susceptibility to wildfire for your property’s location. With increasing temperatures and decreasing rainfall projected into the future, it is expected that areas of low susceptibility are expected to remain at the same level of susceptibility in the future, while areas of high susceptibility are expected to remain high in the future.

Why should I care about this?
With increasing temperatures and decreasing precipitation expected due to climate change, the likelihood of wildfire is expected to increase in the UK. Properties that are in close proximity to land cover types that can be considered fuel for wildfires will be considered at a higher risk than those that are closer to water bodies.
